A thought struck me while I was cleaning up my room (crazy, outrageous and uncharacteristic behaviour!) and it occurs to me that people have this mentality that admitting defeat means you're giving up or showing weakness. Whether this defeat is in an argument, in a relationship, just in life's general challenges, admitting defeat and moving on is showing your strength. Not your physical strength or strength in the verbal or written word, but strength of character.  Why do we tear ourselves up over simple issues of ego? Death is a strange thing.  It's not so often you think of it until it's directly in /your/ life. Personally I don't think about death, but the death of some one you've known since you were little is a pretty heavy thing... Mmm... that's about it really... probably expect a dark deviation soon :P
